FAQ & What you need to know before your appointment.

For Tattoos:

Your artist will place a second skin over the tattoo at the end of your appointment, this should be left on for 24 hours at minimum, ideally 36 hours, before you'll remove it. It's normal for fluids to build up under this layer, possibly including ink or blood.

You will also be given an ink soap solution and healing balm at your appointment. Wash the tattoo once a day with the solution, or as needed if it's exposed to the elements. Apply the balm as desired throughout the day in a THIN layer, to still allow oxygen to access the area and assist in the healing process. Ideally apply 5-7 times a day until tattoo is healed.

DO NOT pick at any flakes that develop during the healing! If they are itching or bothering you, give it a good scrub with your ink soap and see if it comes off on it's own.

Avoid swimming, hot tubs, activities involving soil or mud, direct sunlight, sweating, or any other exposure to materials with a lot of bacteria until it's completely healed.

Please do not tan (in a bed or in the sun) for 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Do not arrive for a procedure with a tan or sunburnt face. AVOID all unprotected sun exposure for 2-3 weeks. If skin appears to be burnt or very tanned at visit, it will be rescheduled by technician.

FAQ

What types of tattoos will you do?

I am a beginner artist and I'd like to keep things on a small scale for now. I only do fine line style and I am willing to do the basic linework or script in color but I'm not doing full color tattoos. I'm excited to learn and practice new things but I also ask that you respect my decision if I let you know that your idea is above my skill set and would be a better fit with a different artist.

What's the process for booking tattoos?

I ask that you reach out to me with your ideas, size and placement of desired tattoo. I'll give you an estimate of how much time we will need and you can select an appointment on the booking page of this website.

How does an appointment typically go?

When you arrive I will have you fill out paperwork and then we will print and size your stencil. We'll put the stencil on as many times as needed to make sure you're happy with the placement. Then we'll get you in the best position, which may be a trial and error process to make sure your artist can effectively perform the tattoo. Bring whatever you need to stay relaxed and comfortable during the tattoo process, this should be a fun day for you! After your tattoo is finished your artist will cover it with a protective second skin and go over the aftercare with you.

Tattoos

Fine line and micro tattoos are one of the fastest emerging tattoo styles.  Fine line tattoos are great at achieving an incredible amount of detail in a small space. An art style that is beautiful, simple, often minimalistic, and deceptively challenging to perform.
